Can I play this on my snes cartridge that lets me play genesis games. It's called a retrogen adapter for those curious. Also it works as well as a actual genesis it just can't play 32x games.

To be completely honest, there's just not a lot Retrogen related info out there speedrun wise. I'm reading that it's not that accurate and the experience can vary between games.

With that being said, the Genesis world doesn't have a lot of accurate emulation options to begin with and we try to be as welcoming as possible.

If you want to submit some footage/runs I'd be more than happy to get you an honest answer as to how it measures to other commonly accepted options, but unless the run is a WR / Top performance breaking experience, we'd be happy to have one more runner in the game regardless of the platform.

im back after getting distracted for 6 months. while i dont have a full run i do have the 1st level

i also dont have a very good capture card so it does look better on the monitor i use in terms of frame rate. to be honest i probably could have gotten a sega genesis at this point but if i can use this i will so i can save the money.

so here it is Castlevania bloodlines for the Sega Gemesis playing on the Super Nintendo. video and audio is probably crappy because of my cheap av capture card it looks and plays better on my monitor thats also connected via a av splitter cable. also sorry for the offcenter video i forgot to center it before recording and i dont care enough to fix it now. in terms of my gameplay i still have a lot to learn and practice.(the only speedrun trick i know so far is the one basement skip with eric. in all honesty thank you for taking time to se if my silly little idea is even speedrun legal. if this video is too bad of quality to tell i can get a video with a my phone or something so it looks more like what im seeing on my other monitor. from what ive played on emulators it feels the same just a bit lower picture quality than the emulators.

just know what you see in the video is different to what i see on my other monitor, so again if i need to i can record it with my phone
