Hi, I am a Bullet hell player from Japan. I am interested in this game Speedrun, but I would like to know where the timer starts and stops. Also, will I be allowed to participate in the PS4 version of the game?

Timer starts when you take control of your ship.

Timer ends when final Congratulations appears.

You can definitely play the PS4 version :). I will add subcategories for Arcade and PS4 if they are substantially different in performance or functionality.

Sorry for the detailed question. Does the start start measuring from the moment I select Ship?

There is no significant difference in the specifications between the PS4 version and the arcade version. The PS4 version has a premium mode, but the arcade mode is expected to have faster times.

So originally "Take control of your ship" meant the moment you could start moving around and shooting (there is a small few seconds between when you select ship, it launching you into the level, and then you taking control)

However, in a few of the other games I moderate Ive started going away from that and started leaning in to "Start on ship select" because its easier to start the timer for runners there.

Let me know which you prefer and I will make that the ruleset and retime the 2 runs if needed.

If I were asked which is better, I feel that the second one mentioned, Start at the moment of Select Ship, is better.

However, since the first operation that the player performs is to "press the start button," I think that the time elapsed while the ship is being selected is a more ideal starting position.
