my thoughts about this:

1. changing timing is, in my opinion not needed, for reasons read No2

2. simply ban manipulation of all sorts PERIOD and if ppl want to play around with it, make it a new category

3. was always that way, will always be that way

4. iirc 90% of the games state even WHICH console, but even if another console is faster, where's the problem, other games have the same problems and runner still run the slower console, it's not all about leaderboards!

5. time theoriginal FMV and the "corrupted" one and add the time it would have taken, aka, if a runner knows of it, don't be freaking lazy or cheap and do it beforehand yourself!

6. some ppl have bad iternet, disqualifing em by default is the worst idea imo, doesn't hit me personally, but the FF community was always open for everyone, discriminating bad internet is not the way to go, neither is it the case for ppl who do cam recording, non the less, I agree with the fact that at least a top 5 run should always be complete, without parts missing.

7. PS3 and PS4 together, bugs me for FFX already, I just don't give a damn bout it, because no one touches PS3, if it would be the case, I would do everything to make em seperated again, PS4 is in most cases so much faster that, having PS3 in it is just stupid, can't speak for PSTV, no idea how fast that stuff is, obviously, if the time differs, seperate category

8. If the runner wishes so, be my guest, a run obviously is still legit, no matter if someone else pressed a button or not

9. those things should always be up for the ppl running a game and not for ppl who will prolly never touch it, in other words, I fully dissagree.

10. imo, not needed by all means, that effort and work someone has to do, and you can bet your behind, no one wants to do that for a longer period of time, obviously something like that will not happen every day, but still, we have a discord, everyone who wants to be activily a part of his/her community, will be on there, or will be in irc. BUT, I agree with you in terms of one thing: we need better communication within the game communities and need to get rid of "dictatorship" we have running for a bunch of games, in which most decissions are made by the top runners and others don't even get asked about their opinion.

Also, I agree with flobber, if there is a problem which involves memory corruption, or whatever, change timing for 7 if the community decides to do so, and make this shenanigans a different category, everyone is happy :3
