As long as it is clear and readable enough for the verifiers to use for verification purposes it is fine. Generally a computer from 2014-ish era can play AND record this game without taking any kind of performance hit at 720p 60 FPS fairly well. Considering I have recorded the game in the past on a system rocking a GTX 750 Ti and an Intel Q9400.(both are from 2013 - 2014)

I would recommend posting the specifications of the system in question so other people who might know little bit more could tell if it is a actual hardware limitation issue or something else that might be fixable is a thing to always give a try.

And what is considered "clear and readable" For verifiers when they look through the run before it is either turned down or added to the leaderboards is that if you can through-out the whole run, clearly see the HUD elements [Health, ammo etc.] AND it is clear enough to tell a apart the gray skybox from a special infected.

Basically it has to be watchable so the person watching and can tell you are playing without addons and to tell what map you are on. (And hopefully they could tell what game you were playing too.)

the hyperlinks I attached in this message lead to the manufactures sites of the PC parts I mentioned and as a bonus I even dug up the video I mentioned to have recorded and looking good, well you can be the judge of that yourself but to me that looks enough to be verified and put on the leaderboard.

Rules so far

1. Expert only because I said so and fuck that flashlight
2. you have to livestream sucks to be you if your internet isnt fast enough OR your system is too old to do it too. We dont really care
3. HAVE to use Spite Extreme since normal Spite isnt extreme enough imo
4. CANNOT pick up weapons or use them same goes for melees because I am making sure that no one else plays this
5. CANNOT heal because why not, it doesnt matter since we are on expert and tanks insta down but when did these make sense. And fuck you too
6. oh btw those items that the game comes with? Fuck them too since we are not using anything.
7. no using of these mysterious "cheat spots" since the tanks dont like that they cannot kill you.
8. do not use menu for anything, if you accidently open a menu you should uninstall the game and stream that too so I know you uninstalled it
9. Oh! You can bhop but not where it matters. and btw using bad level design or overlooked skips is cheating and you will be banned
10. Yeah those skips that makes the whole speedrun even played in the first place? You cannot use them, again just making sure no one plays this.
11. oh dont pick up gas cans that arent made for the idea of pouring because of a objective, I am sure this vague rule isnt gonna be abused and misunderstood.
12. yeah rule 11. is ONLY for gas cans, you know those red ones? you can shove a propane up your ass if you want but no touching those gas cans. Especially the red ones.

No installing Left 4 Dead 2 to play. No playing with keyboard & mouse. No playing with controller of any kind. Only allowed to use G27 - G29 steering wheel to play.

No kind of questioning of these rules that is against them too.

and if you own a xbox 360 you can downpatch the game to allow more skips if I remember correctly. At least you can downpatch l4d2 on xbox 360 to gain more skips.

But this obviously requires disc version and xbox 360 console doesnt work on newer consoles

So I am a "top" runner for the l4d1 & l4d2 games and those are the games I mostly play, we use mainly SST (Source Speedrun Tools) for demo recording and other stuff like bhop script runs, I was wondering because it un-hides few commands on l4d survivors as well, mainly I am interested in the fps_max command it un-hides that isn't normally accessible.

So I was wondering would I be allowed to increase the fps_max and still submit runs on these leaderboards. Because the default locked 60fps in kinda jarring to play on compared to the 300 we get on rest of the l4d games.

I was thinking would be possible to give more options for username animations? from left to right or other way around, up to down etc. spirals?

and could it possible to change the animation speed.
