Haven't seen anyone really doing it in the demo runs submitted, so FYI:
You can get pretty insane speeds by sliding, cancelling the slide with a jump, land sliding and repeat. You really only slide for a few milliseconds, so this looks like continuous jumping while the speed constantly increases. For the entire game this is a crucial difference. Of course try to avoid time-slowing buffs like focus or the retro video tape thingy.
Alright. And thanks for being my opponent. I'm not good moderator, I'm just a gamer XD
Full game is actually quite fun to run - wouldn't be surprised if there are more players incoming.
Not sure if i'm the first to notice this, but it looks like the fastest way to start sprinting every single time, is to set auto sprint to "on hold", make sure toggle sprint is off, and then hold down sprint 24/7. for some reason the truely automatic sprint option has a slight delay
right now i've just got a second keyboard im using my foot to hold down the key with
Tested this just now and yep, seems like it's best to start sprinting, then jump + crouch to kind of "dive" forward.
Seems really difficult on a standard keyboard. Is it banned to rebind sprint or crouch to a mouse button on, for example, a Logitech G502?
Can't speak for the mods, but generally communities don't ban rebinding keys. Macros however are usually forbidden.
I have slide bound to a mouse key and had it bound in my runs (actually using a G502 :) ). So in case it is not allowed my run would need to be invalidated retroactively.
Update: I never saw all the settings in the game until now oops. I guess it could be rebound in-game too
