How are we completing runs on Switch?

I've attempted about 20 different runs now on the Switch version and it ALWAYS crashes in the exact same spot. It's about 2 hours (or 2 and a half) into the run. Always within 60 seconds of the exact same spot. I've tried the digital version and the physical version.

So I guess my question is...how is everyone else able to complete a run without the game crashing? I've tried occasionally for months now and it crashes without fail during every run. It's super frustrating.

Yeah but aren't runs single segment? Wouldn't that mean any restarts or crashes would invalidate the run?

Well in that case wouldn't a crash be acceptable as long as the timer keeps going? It's basically the same thing.

Actually I'm watching the WR now and they say that in their previous PB they lost about 10 minutes because of crashes so I'm assuming crashes are ok. If I had known that, I definitely would have finished some of these runs that crashed on me. I didn't realize we could just keep going if that happened.
