All of the sudden, after I get speed boost, it is taking longer than normal to activate a shinespark. I keep running out of room before and stopping at the walls instead of busting through them. I thought maybe it was my controller, but when I go back to my switch controllers it is the same problem. I have been playing dread for awhile and I have never had this problem before. Any ideas what is going on?

I think it's a bug about the game thinking you are still in a boss room, where charging speed booster takes longer. It just keeps this state even though you're out. Not sure how to fix that, I'm assuming you've already tried turning the game off and on. I can't remember if it's associated with just the safe file, but if it is, you might have to delete it

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it this morning. That seems to have fixed it. Thanks.

All that's necessary is turning closing and reopening the game. Reinstall works too because it does that.
