Switch 2 Upgrade (Will there be a separate category if the game is faster on the Switch 2?)

As stated by Nintendo, there will be free updates for a select few of the Switch 1 games to either perform better on Switch 2, or to utilize the new GameShare feature (GameShare is a given for all of the games that get an update) SM3DWBF is one of the games that will get one of these updates, so my question is: Will there be a separate category for the Switch 2 update if it is found that the Switch 2 version saves time over the regular version? I'm not sure if it would be fair if people had to spend an extra 450$ just to get WR on the game. I'm mainly asking about it for RTA, and not ILs.

As with all games and changes and whatnot, this sounds like a "we don't know, we'll have to do some testing and figure out what is most reasonable for this scenario"

I'm not a moderator of this game, but this seems reasonable if we don't have any information quite yet.

Yeah that makes sense, one of the things I don’t like about the Bowser’s Fury leaderboard is that there’s not a separate leaderboard for the physical and digital copys, when digital saves time with the load speeds, so I don’t want that to be the case with this too, if load times on Switch 2 are faster or something else is faster.

I think as long as it is listed in the consoles it should not be seperated. It is pretty hard for both runners and mods when a new update or new hardware is released. We will just have to wait and see.
