Have sent multiple messages to moderators on this and it hasn't been changed. The 1st place run for AYCE All Stars% (2 Player) is clearly invalid. If you watch the video, they clearly do not unlock all stars. This run is in the wrong category and should be in the Any% Category.
Can this please be changed.
Hi Jordanjwill,
first of all, I haven't received any message from you, your co-op partner mandyjess14 instead contacted me and told me about this. Unfortunately, I was only able to respond that I can not verify the validation of the run anymore since the attached video is now privated. If somehow you still had access to it, you can send me a link and I take a look into it.
Also I will message the other mod, slickfull, and ask him about the issue since he verified that run.
My apologies, I think I might have reached out to a former mod.
For the video, I can't see it either. It appears it was taken down. Shouldn't this be a reason itself to remove the run? Isn't that a requirement of a speedrun, to have a public video?
Appreciate you looking into this.
Well, surely a video is required for most speedruns to be verified, but after verification it's not necessary to keep the video. Videos can be unattached for multiple reasons. Attached accounts could be deleted / banned or whatever.
But since the run is verified, that means (or at least should mean) that a mod has watched the run and decided that it's fine to get verified.
When did you realize that something is wrong with the run ? Just asking, because it must have been a while ago when the video was still available. Would've expected you reached out for it earlier ?
Can you describe what the concrete problem is ? Did they not unlock a certain Kevin level or just missed out on a star in a stage ?
I initially reached 11 months ago after we noticed the run.
The issue with the run is that they only had 108 stars versus the 132 required for All Stars. Happy to screenshot you the message I sent to KaWaiNL. I also sent a message 8 months ago to Slickfull explaining the same thing.
Whether the run was verified or not, there should be a requirement to have the video available for it to remain on the leaderboard. Anyone should be able watch and view the run themselves to call attention to any suspect activity. Else, it kills the integrity of the leaderboard. People can easily make mistakes. I wouldn't' expect the moderators to watch all 3 hours of every speed run.
I shouldn't have to add this to my argument, but...the game was recorded on a Switch. The Switch has absurdly slow loading times compared to PC. Unless a game breaking Glitch was found, there is absolutely no way that time would be possible on Switch. If you don't believe me, go look at other Switch runs on the leaderboard. Every load screen adds a minimum of 4-7 seconds compared to PC.
