I saw semperzz e ray for fortresses after finished looting a bastion and I’m wondering how he did that. I’m guessing you look for 10-15 entities for fortresses but sometimes it’s a red biome and it’s fake. Do u know how he does it.
It’s using pie chart, you set one of your block entities to spawner and search for that
No that’s not what I meant. I’m wondering how he found the direction to go to the fortress, not to find out if there is one.
Perhaps they e-rayed to look for other bastions to know which quadrants are occupied by bastions (each quadrant can only have one of the two in it), i.e. finding out which quadrants there are not fortresses in, and therefore making a fortress more likely to find.
So basically sometimes fortresses pull out around 15-20 entities but that doesn't guarantee a fortress. That's based on my experience tho.
@kingdinocharge runners, including myself, are genuinely doing this in runs, and yeah it's pretty 5Head nonetheless
@AbyssUpdate yeah but that's very inconsistent and inaccurate. Piglins in a bastion are permanent entities meaning that once a bastion with the piglins generates, the piglins are detectable in your render distance through microlensing, despite your distance from the piglins themselves. Whereas mobs in a fortress only start to spawn once you approach a certain distance of the fortress. So if you were to detect a concentration of mobs in your render distance through microlensing which would theoretically indicate a fortress (even though it's not very distinctive), you would virtually already be able to spot the fortress.
