I’ve been watching MCC (minecraft championship) and I was wondering if a competition like this could happen on bedrock, I know this probably isn’t the place to post it but I couldn’t think of anywhere else so, It doesn’t even have to be like MCC but a well put together bedrock competition would be very entertaining

Bedrock servers are way to laggy, even 20 people would make the server run at 5 FPS

Bedrock servers are better than java servers in term of performance tho, my phone can handle having 5 people being in my world simultaneously, each doing their own thing. I think if you were to host it on a strong computer it could handle ~50 people without any big lag spikes,although the map size couldn't be too big.

Bedrock is always better than Java in regards to performance.

Imma be honest, I might be able to get something set up if someone could build a map, I'd be glad to host something like that. It'd take a little to get it working but I got a pretty beefy computer so if I got the server working I'd be able to host a lot of people.

so would it be like mcc where it has a bunch of minigames, or more of a speedrunning thing? cause like we're all speedrunners.

Well yeah, we're all speedrunners. But each of us are better at one thing than the other, eg: I'm much better at parkour than PvP. I think if someone were to organise such an event with many people it could really boost in popularity, especially this speedrun website category since it originated from here.

For a start, bedrock servers can be more stable than java servers. Most lag comes client-side or from connection. Anyone serious about this game would be able to get a wired connection set up quite easily.

The only other problem is a host. There are 5 major server groups who might be willing to host such an event. Anyone who would like this type of event may want to speak with such servers. My suggestion is cubecraft. With a large server infrastructure and plenty of builders and command block whizzes to get something like this up and running.

Finally, they will want testers. I'm sure our fine group of competitive players on speedrun.com can supply ;)

Me and a couple of my friends are building a Bedrock MCC with some different games, still some similar ones though. I have a lot of command block knowledge and the rest of them help me build. Hopefully should finish by the end of the year. I will probably put the map up for download when it's finished.
