A small update:

Since we switched to IGT for all PMD2 main categories we decided to allow all Emulators entirely. IGT cuts out loading times so Console and Emulator are being the exact same now.

So there's no problem if you are still interested in running Sky

You don't really have that problem if you find enough Reviver Seeds. The early game never has been a problem (ch1-ch12), I barely used any Reviver Seeds there. Later you've got many strong partners on your side which don't really require to be on a high level to do anything (as example Suicune+Entei+Raikou for Mega Tyranitar). The only parts where I've got some problems were Yvetal and that Water Dungeon before Prehistoric Ruins.

At least you can make the Yvetal battle much easier if you have a ban seed.

I found a very cool trick for skipping all missions except of the first one, which already was used in my speedrun.

For doing this trick just put all your items and money in a just and give up in a dungeon, so you can skip the entire day. Also you don't need to do any missions at all since you lose time every second you are in this dungeon, and the rewards you get from missinos are definitely not worth it since you can go through this game with a very low level as well. So in the end you only do 1 mission during the entire game which is a ~ 1hour timesave

Regarding the Wondermails, I banned them for the normal any% category since you get a lot of very unfair stuff you normally would not get during the main story. Plus they are region locked and can be updated from time to time for each region. As example you can just take Chespin as starter and activate the WM code which gives you SWORDS DANCE twice, right after Chapter 2! (GG). And the combination of Swords Dance + 60 Oran Berries + 60 Reviver Seeds + 60 apples + 60 max elixiers + 4 Life Seeds and much more stuff makes it really broken as you can remove the problem of having low attack stats entirely (sword dance spam) without even caring about collecting anything in a speedrun as you have everything in your chest anyways except of emeras.

I don't know if my ideas for the route would work, but if it does the any% run with WMs would be the entire opposite of an ordinary any% run where you struggle with your low stats and items and have to rely on blast seeds. Hence it may be the best decision to seperate any% and any% with passwords.

@jellobeaver

I already mentioned that it would be slower than original 100% RTA since every single cutscene after each level (Kirby dance) adds up some time as it wants to show you the lvl time.

The only differences between extra mode and original 100% is that you can choose every world in any order and skipping some minor cutscenes (~5-10 second timesave). I doubt that you would save more than half a minute through that, since original 100% already has a fast route.

So there's no point for making an extra category for that after all.

I'm actually against Extra Mode as it is almost the same run as 100%. The only difference is that you can do every world in any order you want, which would only be a difference around 5 minutes (IGT, it might be even slower than original 100% RTA). It is not worth it to make a new pointless category for that, not even misc.

Game Name: Kirby: Squeak Squad

System: Nintendo DS

Category: 100%

Gameplay Estimate: 1:20:00

Bonus Estimate: Boss Endurance 7:00

Possible Donation Incentives: Possible Bid War for Kirby Colours (http://kirby.wikia.com/wiki/Spray_Paint)

Video:

Description: Kirby: Squeak Squad is (like in all other Kirbys) a Jump'n'Run where you can inhale enemies and copy their abilities to use it for yourself. In SQSQ you also have the possiblity to store abilities in your belly through ability bubbles you can collect throughout the run, it's also possible to mix them for a random ability which will be used a few times in a run. The main difference between any% and 100% are the many chests you have to collect (120 to be exact) and the bonus levels you unlock through some chests. Speedrunwise it's a very interesting run with optimized movement and some cool strats because of the use of many abilities (Wheel, Tornado, Cutter, Animal...) and tricks like the dash glitch.

Availability (GMT+1):

Friday: 5pm - 12am Saturday/Sunday: 8am - 12am

Hey, I'm the german boy called Pascal (but please call me Kobral) and I'm 15 years old.

How I came into speedrunning:

I started with speedrunning since June, 2013 and my first game was Super Mario 64. I started to run this game because one of my friends wanted to race it with me regularly (I think my favourite Streamer "MasterR1003/Rouven also was a big inspiration). At this time speedrunning got very interesting for me, so I didn't run Sm64 that long and tried many other games which would be fun for speedrunning. But now the only game which I'm regularly running (and not a Kirby game is) is Paper Mario 64 and I'm currently going for World Records at this game.

but now with Kirby:

Honestly, I really don't know how I came into Kirby speedrunning, I just know that I started with Nightmare in Dreamland for like 3 months. Now I'm currently running besides NiD Kirby 64, Kirby Mouse Attack and Kirby Amazing Mirror. First I wanted to run Kirby Super Star Ultra as well, but I gave up after all
