Hi all,
Recently there's been a few runs where background audio from other sources (games, streams, movies, etc.) could be heard. In some cases, the game audio was very difficult to hear. This lead to approval or rejections based on technicality.
I would like to remind everyone that the speedrun should be the main focus.
The music loop for Challenge Dream Cat and it's DLC can become repetitive. Especially if you have been performing runs for hours on end. However, it's important to keep the viewing experience comfortable and fair for all users. Going forward, the general game rule for audio has been updated.
General Rules: All runs must have audible game sounds and game music. Audio that is not from the game, or the runner, is not allowed.
Thank you for understanding, and happy speedrunning!
Hi all,
In an effort to make runs a more fair experience, the rules for calling time are being updated. The in-game timer after the final cutscene can have times that are incorrect. This can cause inconsistency in the actual final times. All runs will be retimed to follow the updated rule. This means all current runs should technically be faster, so the leaderboard might shift around.
Challenge Dream Cat Treasure Hunter
- Old Rule: Time is called after the final cutscene.
- New Rule: Time is called on the frame the timer disappears and the final cutscene starts.
Thank you for understanding, and happy speedrunning.
