My guide allows you to have GTA IV style controls too, your argument makes no sense.
'little fix isnt a full fix' but my guide is a full fix? what are you talking about, it makes the controller fully function on 1.0 without GInput
Are you guys braindead or something? We want to ban the MOD, not the whole concept of using a controller for running. If you really want to use a controller, you can just follow my nifty guide (https://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/guide/w2qd3) which makes everything work fine.
Learning the whole game in 30fps then going to 25fps isn't a good idea, telling you that right now.
Learns the game with SilentPatch, SkyGFX and Widescreen Fix installed. This guy isn't serious is he?
https://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/guide/w2qd3 if you think you can't use a xbox controller without ginput this guide may SHOCK you
Why should it be? Just so everyone from Hugo's chat can make an account and just post that they're against it because 'hurr durr you wanna ban controllers!!!!!'?
1.0 HAS FULL CONTROLLER SUPPORT, what are you talking about. Just get a controller, that like Gael likes to say, isn't retarded (aka DirectInput controller).
Reminder that you don't need GInput to use a controller. :)
As the title says, our argument (the side that wants to ban GInput) is that it gives an advantage over people that don't use it allowing switching between autoaim and free aim on the fly (something which you can only do by going to the menus in a vanilla game).
So the options are as follows: a) Ban GInput b) Don't ban GInput
Guide for using XInput controllers with older versions of SA without GInput: https://www.speedrun.com/gtasa/guide/w2qd3
And a video as to why most people think this should be banned:
Because of influx of photoshopped images claiming to be WR, I've added a rule that requires times below one second to have a video attached. Current times won't be removed, but future submissions will require one.
Other categories may have such a rule as well if there's a need for it.
around 40-50fps (dont ask)
100% agree with what anti said
On AMD, in Crimson Settings you can go to Gaming then either edit Global Settings or add a new profile for SA and just change 'Wait for Vertical Refresh' to always off like this:
Although I haven't noticed any changes after changing this, so it's either Windows doing something or my PC is too shit to notice a change.
Counting something that progresses the storyline as a mission is nonsense. Zero's missions and the Heist don't progress the storyline, they only add to it. You can get to the end of the storyline without starting any of them. Do you want to say that they're not missions?
You just dont want to verify long runs right Ben? ffzSmilin
you need to put the file you downloaded into the game folder for it to work
