Totally depends on who you're playing with. And co-ordination. Probably will want to pool all your resources to one player who calls the shots, but it should be good. I doubt any more than 2 players would be good to go on the boards, though, due to starting with more than the base 2 characters.
Oh, are we not allowed to use any of the characters beyond the starter two? I think we can still have multiple of the same character though 4 players.
Would we be able to get different leaderboard runs for coop, so that we don't have coop and singleplayer mixed up? Also, I've been looking into doing a singleplayer run. @Spleen, is there any way I can personally contact you about some suggestions for the leaderboards/forums or potential modding opportunities? Please let me know. Thanks in advance,

I'm planning on doing the run with sc2ad and would love to be credited for that too
A separation for coop and single player would be interesting
Ah man, my sr.c notifications are always screwy no matter what I do - so this is damn late but okay.
I don't really see much reason to separate co-op and single player, seeing as pretty much everything's doable with one or two players (and there's already a lot of categories!), unless some weird netcode exploits are found.
If there wouldn't be any more boards added, though, it'd probably have to be restricted to 1 or 2-player because any more gives a distinct advantage, except in Armory Pod. I'm gonna try and ping you guys in case you're still interested.
I'm quite new to the whole speedrunning community (will introduce myself properly in the forums after work). A friend of mine and me thought about speedrunning DotE in co-op but there is still no co-op category. Will there be one in the future? No pressure, I just want to know if we should look for another game. :)
I will never understand why I receive no notifications for forum posts.
I've expressed my thoughts on why there should not necessarily be a separation between 1-player and 2-player, unless there are specific exploits found. The primary reason that there is no co-op category is that there simply have been no co-op runs. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from doing a co-op speedrun. Produce a co-op run, and it can either be on the same listing, with 1/2 player differentiated by a variable (such as the characters on refreezerator) or they could just be separated, but there is no reason to have a board if there are no runs to put onto it! There's nothing stopping anyone from doing a co-op run, so if anyone wants to, do it, and it can go up!
