Do you have any speedrunning or speedrunning-related goals for 2023? If you do, share them here! (And next year we can check this thread again to see how things went).
Here are mine: I want to get a sub 2:30 in ".S" I want to get a sub 2:30 in "Tim_" Any% And I want to get a sub 6:30 in "Mobility" NMG Contact
Its just 3 games so hopefully I can get everything done this year.
Edit: probably should have titled this "share your speedrunning Goals" or something because people seem to have misinterpreted the thread as just being about my goals, and are wishing me luck without saying anything themselves
10 seconds ahead of second place in classic path tavo spreading out to new games, some on some off of roblox just to diversify myself starting to make speedrun related content check point championship sub 17 (or at least breaking the 5 year old record)
WR in 2 of the 3 yugioh DS games, and a total of 12 different games run.
my 2023 resolutions for speedrunning are to play as many games as possible and from every game to play every single category I can (examples of what I cant : if I cant beat the level, if I need to do extra purchase, if its longer than 1hr and that I'm not invested enough from repetitive scenarios). I am following 785 games, but also I track a bunch of games that aren't on SR.C or are, but that I haven't followed. I hope also to play 10k categories, but there might be an obstacle to those goals. I also want to speedrun more mobile and console games
My goal is to get as many Tokusatsu games added to src as possible.
My goal is to get 5,000 runs by the end of next year
top 200 in smk (btw this was my 1500th post)
My goal would be to get more runs going for the games I've recently started speedrunning which is Lil Gator Game and Lunistice . Other than that, I don't really have any goals for other games.
I'm also interested in playing and potentially speedrunning newly release titles in 2023.
Now that I've finished my final goal for 2022, I can post in this thread :) The following goals are ordered by importance to me, but not the order I'll work on them. Mainly because I definitely need a break from Grippy for a bit:
- Sub 2 minute All Keys
- Gold split hunt to see if 1:0x any% / 1:4x All Keys are possible
- Heavily grind mania with Blaze to at least sub 1:05, going for sub hour as long term goal
- Improve easy pb by a minute or more
- Do some runs in the difficulties I haven't yet
- Complete another run in All Levels category (aiming for sub hour)
- Get Banana IL below 4 minutes / sum of all levels below 15 minutes
Misc.
- Try to get back into doing more casual runs on the side of major goals
- Get deathless pbs for both categories in King: A bullet-hell RPG
- Go back to at least one of the following games and see what I can accomplish: Deepest Sword, Swordfish, Shelled Shinobi
Is this too many goals? (Yes.) But it'll be fun to come back to this post in a year and see how far I got.
For my purposes, this is to gradually start switching to PC games and develop in games on the phone. And it is also in my goals to develop in moderation and find an audience for some game in which I am a moderator.
There's a few things I can think of I'd like to accomplish!
1, reach 1000 subs on my speedrunning channel on YouTube. 2, get a sub 1:40:00 on Buffy The Vampire Slayer Any%! 3, find more great indie games to speedrun!
