Basically what the title says. I'm interested in running this game. I know ePSXe is an alternative that adds cool HD textures and shaders but I don't know if that affect load times or performance in some way.

I would like to have an emulator that looks nice but also runs smoothly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard that ePSXe usually has good performance for speedrunning even with its HD features, so there shouldn't be any issues with load times on that.

That being said, PSXfin may also be a good alternative, and I'd suggest giving that a try if ePSXe doesn't work out or has issues related to loading times.
