Oh hi :D
Obviously 100% and Any% (level's 1-10) are things (or any% SHOULD be, that is). Other than that, All Beers is another thing (Collect all beers, no need to hit the first time stamp), and 1-11 really doesn't need to be a thing.
Another note: Before each run, you should have to delete your save, that way you're starting with a fresh save. Reasons being: respawn the beers, reset your level stats (only really applicable for all beers where you would need to still get the time stamp in order to advance levels) and because, let's be honest: What speed game starts anywhere but the beginning?
I know that the categories aren't perfect. When the full game comes out I will definitely need some help naming and coming up with categories. But since this is only the demo I feel like the categories don't really matter, seeing as how these will all be obsolete. I just wanted to make categories that are fun and interesting, not putting much effort into the names. I'll definitely use the speedrunning community for the naming of the full game's categories, but for now, I'll take your advice. Just know that these categories will eventually be phased out, replaced by the full game. We have no idea what the full game will be like, or what requirements we will have to fulfill to advance, so the categories we have might not be used at all! Not much effort was put into this now because of that. Also, I've put the rules in, so that should clear everything else up. Thanks!
I feel like we should start timing when you select level 1 as well. Like you said, this is just the demo and things will change on the full release, but i feel like its a good idea to get a solid rule set. For example: no run should start with a completed file because if you complete a level too slow you dont actually COMPLETE it, and you have to restart it. Setting the time to start when you select the first level also seems universally better to balance every level so you dont have extra time to aim your character before starting.
Either way, I will FOR SURE be running 100% and probably any% when the game comes out so I want to try and get a solid ruleset going before then so that we know what to expect runs to be like when the game does come out
When will there be new categories coming in to play? The game releases in a few hours, no rush as I will most likely be playing it for a few days before I speedrun it again.
