I know that there are several urban legends about gaming in general. For example, Luigi in SM64. But are there similar urban legends in speedrunning?
(I'm aware that evidence of this time exists elsewhere, I just fundamentally disagree with it remaining on the leaderboards without verifiable proof that any person can see)
There's this one urban legend that there was a gamer named Hardcore Kripp who decended unto the D3 community like an angel from the heavens. They say his soul now resides somewhere deep within the annals of Hearthstone.
Well, his legacy remains to this day. Many leaderboards are still horrendously messed up, especially games with smaller communities.
Can anyone tell me about hocinehocine? I didn't start looking at the general forums for this site until about 2 months ago but I do know that name
afaik he did run the games he submitted, but he did add a metric shitton of games. (no one else ran the games he submitted, tho)
also add that he insulted our beloved admins.
yeah but he went out to spam these insults onto their social media, etc. which is def. not okay to do. idc if someone doesn't like some of the admins, but just outright insulting them is a reason to be banned, imo.
anyway, let's not go too far off-topic^^
Here's another urban legend: People will check that they're on https & clear their cache and cookies before asking on the discord why they can't login.
SpeedDemosArchive is a site for world records.
There seems to be an urban legend going around that Timmiluvs said any% is dead first
