Hi guys. So my current mouse is definitely a low-end gear, although it's not utter garbage. And I've been wondering... Are there any actual benefits of using a decent/ high DPI mouse, when it comes to speedrunning GOI? Does it give you any... advantage of some sort? Or perhaps using a decent mouse with high DPI is basically the same as using a s**tty mouse, but with high in-game sensitivity?
i personally used to have a shtty mouse and i got a new one that is 150$ and also a custem mouse pad that gos with the mouse for 50$ and its just way better the mouse is light and it glides across cuz of the pad

It honestly isn't that important, specially if you think about dpi. Most regular non gaming mice offer 800dpi which should be enough for the vast majority of players. An argument could be made about input delay tho, this can actually affect how you play but as long as you aren't using an older wireless mouse you should be fine in that regard too.
