I was thinking it would be nice to show the runs time in millisecond? At some point many runs will have the same time, like the current leaderboard for California Games on NES. this way we can have a better idea who really have the best time
This should be a thing on all the games, NES is 9 milliseconds away from under 2:01 but alot of top records are between 2:01:50 and 2:03
In a game were 1 second means the difference between 1st and 5th I think it would help alot of people feel more motivated to not be pigeonholded. The con would be we lose 2 first place times on that port. Other than that it would keep everything very competitive
I was thinking to enable the time to millisecond and update every run with the exact millisecond time (using AviDemux). I was testing with another game, enabling millisecond will make every game's time same as before, the millisecond field with be empty. And disabling the millisecond will be safe as well.
What do you think? Should I enable it?
Also since this game is not popular, the millisecond part can be optional. Then when we have too much run to verify and if we are still using millisecond, we can force people to provide it
I think that would be a good idea since a lot of these runs are going to be less than 30secs it may come down to milliseconds
