What are people's feelings about running this game on the current Steam version? I was writing a route for myself based on SleepeyBunney's any% no HAP skip guide, and I got my time just under 18 mins after a few tries without any major mistakes.
I think the biggest time loss is not being able to condense chapters 1 & 2 into a single segment. I can't report Dylan for content infringement in chapter 1, only for malicious software since that's all he has in his FLIST, so I have to play Outlaw to trigger the first time skip, then report him for the content infringement in chapter 2. There are other time losses which have been noted already, like having to visit the two L&F pages in the present day to trigger Samantha's emails.
Anyway, I was wondering if there's interest in accommodating newer versions of the game in some category, especially since the guide for downgrading versions on Steam no longer works (at least not for me). Thanks y'all!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. While I wouldn't mind adding an additional category for the current version, as there have been some things that have changed (and also to potentially accomodate other platforms that cannot downgrade) - are you sure the guide to downgrade doesn't work? I know the UI for that has changed slightly due to the new Steam library (I may have to edit the wording slightly) but it should still work. Let me know!
I can also confirm the access code still works for me too, although I did enter it before but re-entering it also triggers it again. Also I think the way "beta" branches on Steam work means if it was removed for you it'd be removed for us too.
Hey, I'm just seeing these replies now. I was running this game on macOS before, which might not have access to the downgrade on Steam. I still think that a new category would be cool for the final version of the game, but I'll definitely give the old version a shot now that I'm on Windows, thanks so much!
(alternatively, I might have been spelling it "millenniumedition" before without realizing, lmao)
