how do i show how much time i have saved/lossed? for example, for "RPD" split i saved 1.7 seconds, it should say "-1.7" next to RPD but livesplit doesn't do that. is this a glitch with resident evil 2? also, at the very bottom of my splits, it says "live segment" and it has a timer counting down, telling me how long i have left before my PB will come
If you have downloaded the splits from the resource section there is a readme in the folder which explains exactly how to set up your splits. It is most likely that you haven't set one of the file paths correctly.
i am speedrunning claire A and i don't want the "all doors" one. i have the other one, the one speedunners use, i copied the split names. is there a way to set up the time save/loss figures on a custom made one that has the splits most speedunners use?
Most runners use the "all doors" one, personally I would recommend it. Where did you get your splits from? I can see that you have commented on the below video, if you follow this then everything should work fine. Check all files are correctly set, especially the asl file in the "scriptable auto splitter" section of livesplit.
make sure you are comparing against Personal Best.
Also you can download the All Doors one and just delete the numbered splits.
still doesn't work! have tried this method 3 times now! Magnoozl used a green timer in one of his videos, do you think that would work for me, he had a timer showing the weapon he was holding and his health. if so, please can you tell me how to fix this issue, this is making me get speedruns that always get rejected
You are looking for the Bio2 SRT, you can find it under "resources" in the "tools" section. Depending on the version you are using you might need either the classic or 1.1 version.
thanks but do i just do the usual and open livesplit and edit layout and change the path of "scriptable autosplitter" to the Bio2 SRT (notepad file) and hopefully it should work. i really want to compete with you guys even though i suck
You don't need to use livesplit if you are using the SRT. Just open it and run as administrator to be sure.

NO WAY! i actaully got it working! i am so happy now i can show off my skills and for once, they can actaully be valid! i am so sorry for uploading speedruns that keep getting rejected! i got it working and it made me so damn happy, for 5 months or so i couldn't get it working! I would like to thank Mastermiller89, Drazanjoll, and all the other people in my other silly dumb foroums i made (sorry to ask dumb questions)

ok, now that i have sorted out the autosplitter, it says that i am doing crap, becuase last time i used real time instead of game time, so if i delete all the split times and do a speedrun (with blank split times), then when i close livesplit and save save all the split times, it should remember my PB right?
I am new to speedrunning with livesplit, so is this how you lot did it, first a dry run with no targets, then after your dummy speedrun, you save all the split times then you record a speedrun?
Sometimes Livesplit might start up with Compare Against Realtime so either you check that everytime or just click outside the game window and check if the timer pauses when the game is paused.
You can check the readme file I provided in the splits download under "Resources". It goes through pretty much everything.
