At the time of doing the runs the supernova flash extension was the recommended way by NK to run these games. The NK archives version is significantly slower.
Right now I can't figure out how to play the game with the supernova flash player, maybe there needs to be seperate categories for different players as lag plays a huge role.
I would say download the .swf seperately and play it offline with a flash player as a standalone file.
Also i've been demodded from this game and I've requested to be added back but no one's done anything about it
Yeah, the /resourses/ page has a .swf version (easy to play on Flash Player). Tbh I didn't test it but I'll try it later. Good luck on your run :)
btw @MrJoCrafter there's no need for despair. You got removed from the staff because you took over 2 months to review runs. I didn't receive a notification from your PM but now I've added you again. Now people wanting to submit their runs have a better guarantee since I usually check this site.
.swf file + standalone player is remarkably slower than SuperNova web extension, one can compare the lag on wave 50 between my run and a run on the standalone flash player.
My run wave 50:
The fastest run on the standalone player wave 50:
🤔hmm yeah I see it @11:50 it's just strange how any of the other Bloons games did that change yet.
Anyway, I can just make a variable and separate newer runs from the old browser ones... I see no problem in that.
Actually, this category really needs an overhaul. I'll probably do that and delete the NLL runs for GLITCHED as someone asked a few months ago to the old mods.
Update: I deleted the Glitched NLL categories and I'm currently moving people to the right version. You guys can already go back to try to get first place :)
To be fair, glitchless runs in BTD (especially, especially in this game) are comparatively less fun to run, less competitive, and require much less routing. Although records there are more lag-sensitive, so this discussion might be necessary after all.
