Load remover?

Hi there! I'm probably going to run this game, and I just made a load remover ASL script for Live Split. It's probably going to break at every update, but I can maintain it. I can upload it here as a resource.

I'd personally prefer the runs to be measured in real time without loads, since it makes your computer hardware less relevant, but it's not going to be fair for the current runs that include loading times.

What do you think? Should we go for time without loads in the future? Or should we keep including loading times?

Sorry for the bother. I'll happily oblige whatever you (moderators) decide. As a side note, I'd be happy to use Discord or whatever else instead of the speedrun.com forum, if possible.

Hello. I think how we handle it right now with loading time is fine. That everyone is starting st the same time and Autoservice can be turned off anyway but it’s risky. Anyway. I had thoughts of creating a discord for here yes. I think it’s gonna be up soon. Enjoy your stay. BBR

Hmm... load remover may be a problem for this game. Load time is the only reason not to switch between outposts constantly. Assuming a "normal" speedrun, there'd probably be maybe 20 loads throughout? For me, on an SSD, a load takes 5~10 seconds, so 20 loads might result in one or two additional minutes, I suppose. Until speedruns start getting within 1 or 2 minutes I'm not sure how big of a deal it is. My current time (not yet accepted) is over 3 hours.

Thanks for your answers. Good point about loading times being a reason to not switch outposts too much.

So yeah let's do it in real time with loadings.

If you are still interested in this game, we can start separating current patch and old patch runs, because the game isn't totally broken anymore. The load remover would be a good idea since we can start fresh-ish for new runs in a new any% category. (If anyone is still interested after me dropping the ball here)
