Hello, guys. My name is keny. I am Japanese Speed Runner.
The plays in "China" version increase recently.
I imagine the superiority of "China" version is faster doorskip by the difference in BGM, but I do not really understand a correct difference because I did not play "China" version, unfortunately.
So if you don’t mind, please teach me the difference between versions, and how to buy "China" version.
I'm wondering, was there ever a physical copy of the chinese version of RE3? and if there was, was it approved by Capcom?
I dont wanna hate but China is well known for their knockoffs OMGScoots
I'm back doing re3 speedrunnings, and coulnd't find chine version (or taiwan) but i see the old speedrunners are using it, is that any better?
Taiwan Agent's name is 第三波(The Third Wave), that also now we can play on Windows 10 version. Taiwan uses Chinese traditional words, as you can see the title screen and subtle in the game. I hope category of RE3 submitting will be added RE3(Taiwan) and update country flag.
Changed the title to (TWN) since the Chinese term is indeed incorrect. Sadly we cannot change the flag to Taiwan because Speedrun, com only have a few flags to choose from which is USA, EU, Japan, Korea, China and BAR? no idea what the last one is.
Most of the Platform flags are based on the TV standard PAL, NTSC, NTSC-J etc.
I mean, the split doesn't really exist to divide competition, or for competition purposes at all. It remaining the default view should tell you that, already. The 'TWN' tag exists to emphasize that only that version is allowed in the 'TWN' section.
As for the initial reason why it was moved and put into its own section to begin with. Well, it's been reiterated in some many different topics already, so I'll leave that for a mod to explain if they so wish.
The abbreviation "JAP" includes a derogatory meaning for Japanese people.
"JPN" is an abbreviation for avoiding such a derogatory meaning.
I think that "JPN" is desirable in this place because we are getting along with each other beyond their country of origin.
I do not deny that the Taiwan version has more entries than the Japanese version, but I want you to understand how many Japanese people can not do even if they want to enter the Taiwan version.
Is it impossible to parallelize the categories of both "PC TWN" and "PC JPN"?
We could have PC (TWN) and PC (JPN). That would mean that other regions would not be allowed and we would have to remove 3 runs from the current PC board.
