WHO'S THE RAT!? This was actually the fourth run I had on PC, fifth counting the first playthrough messing with controls. I was comparing against the initial run, a 51:38 FIRST TRY, EEDIOT. As I figured, the PC version saves something around 5 minutes over the PS2 counterpart. I was going to have the top spot on PS2 as it is the slowest console as a testament to the insane implications of tech and the skips it has opened up in the past couple months, but mopsi came in with a quick low 53. This is possible on PS2, but extremely precise. Contemplating this considerable gap, I'd like to see the leader boards split by console and PC, as the two are incomparable in loads along with some other minor differences in some ledge and jump heights. Similarly, this run isn't perfect either, with a handful of notable deaths and slip ups, leaving a minute or two with the current route. However, this is a fitting milestone to rest upon having finally proven sub 50 is possible with PC and sub 55 on PS2. More can come of this, especially with the questions the market out of bounds brings up, so I will return periodically after taking a bit of a break from Any%. I may take up 100% in the meme-time, but I also promised a cheat% run. Shoutouts to the creators and the community are at the end of the video.
Mod Note: Since the game wasn't running in window mode, I had a 20 second buffer I counted down before starting and finishing the run. I tried to internalize the interval, but I'm certain there may have been some error. This can be retimed and tweaked by several seconds as is necessary.
