Adding extreme and insane difficulty

Hey. Since im trying to fill up the leaderboard with good intense speedruns to get starting times for everyone, im wondering why there are no insane and extreme difficulty. I mean i think its nearly impossible to get a full game run on extreme or insane but it is possible to get single level runs on those difficulties and i allready did that. So i have videos and times and i like to upload and share them on the leaderboard with you. I also wanna try in the future to grow our community and get more people for competition. Because i think alot of people didnt know that this here exist. And this game has really good speedrun potential. The many different difficulties make it enjoyable for everyone to make speedruns in this game. I also will make a facebook post in the big afe group to let people know that we are here and hope we get so more :)

The higher difficulties have been added! I was simply waiting on someone to submit some before adding them so that the leaderboard didn't have a bunch of empty categories and look like a ghost town.

Many thanks! But the rules also have to be adapted as it is almost impossible to play extreme or insane without challenge cards. And the rule "must be played with bots" does not generally make sense and should be changed to "other players are not allowed except bots". If it is possible to kill bots for the respective level of difficulty, then it should be up to each player to decide whether to kill them or not.

Not sure if I like the idea of adding challenge cards into the any% categories, if we add it to higher difficulties then what stops us from adding it to easier ones?

It would make the speedrun more or less "pay to win" as the cards need to be earned/purchased and some of them would become necessary to get a competitive time.

One solution could be to add categories specifically for runs with challenge cards enabled but that would add a lot more categories to an already pretty big leaderboard.

I'm open to ideas & suggestions on how to go about challenge cards going forward.

Also, you are allowed to kill the bots if you want, the rules only state that you need to have bots playing with you instead of players, I fail to see how that doesn't make sense.

So it's just not necessary to add challenge cards in casual, standard and intense. They are simple enough to be successfully completed with good times. To allow cards there would be a total overkill. The point is that it is simply necessary to play with cards in extremes and especially insane difficulty. You run out of ammunition before you reach the first half on the way of the ammunition box because the enemys have a ton of health. Anyone who tries to do this just knows what I'm talking about.

I wouldn't say it's pay to win. It's the same with consumables. You have to farm currency to buy them. Everyone can get cards also from chest´s. So chestruns are a nice farming option beside daily/weeklys.

I suggest to allow it only for extreme and insane. I mean if there is no other choice u can add a "challenge card enabled" category at least for insane so it wouldnt fill the leaderboard with more categories.

best regards

Adding challenge cards to only Extreme & Insane speedruns seems like a good solution, at least for now.

I'm sure someone will want to use them on easier difficulties at some point, simply because of the fact harder ones will have it allowed.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there, rules have been updated. Have fun!

I'm a bit late to the party, but allowing challenge cards for use in the difficulties that may as well be different games compared to casual and standard is pretty reasonable.
