doing this would definitely be in a grey area between the existing input method subcategories, if i were to do this i would get the slightly better movement lines of a controller and the much faster sticker movement of keyboard and mouse.

am i allowed to do this or am i limited to 1 input device per run? and if this was allowed, would it still be under the 'keyboard and mouse' subcategory?

Controllers are in a different category because of the difference in cursor movement speed, so for the above playstyle it would fall under keyboard + mouse.
