19.9 SECONDS!?!

Hello everybody,

I tried to improve my time today and somehow (I assume it's a glitch or something), I beat the game in 19.9 seconds! First of all, I swear on my life I haven't used cheats (I hate cheating). Second, I have proof of the 19.9 seconds (I recorded it with Flashback Pro 5) and third, the rules say 'Beat the game; NO RESTRICTIONS'. So my question is: does the 19.9 seconds run count if I have proof?

was it just a normal run? and is there a video? Honestly I've been having my doubts with the IGT system for a while now, but this is really strange

Yes, is was just a normal run like every other. I was also using the same website I used when I got 3:43:100 a couple of days earlier. Here is the video:

loooool yeah that doesn't seem right unless we can replicate it

So that means that this is invalid as a regular run? If so, maybe we can divide the Any% in 2 categories: 'Glitch' and 'No glitch'. What do you think?

I think somebody needs to figure out exactly what the hell just happened

Epic run, who knew there was so much time to save?! Tbh I may recall encountering a similar glitch playing as a kid like 8 years ago on miniclip, but that memory might be total bs.

If people actually start running this game seriously we might need to standardize which version of the game people are playing for some degree of consistency. I use the offline file provided in the resources tab, no idea what goomba uses. As far as IGT goes, I won't be able to compete if it is no longer standard because my laptop lags for a cumulative >8 seconds every run (or ~5 sec if not recording).

I started using Miniclip's version yesterday (when I saw Cytruss' link) but before that, I used the 'Alias Runner' version on www.Funnygames.nl, which is the website I used since at least 2005/2006 because it was the only working website I knew (until now). However, I do prefer the version of Miniclip now.

By the way, I really like the idea of people running this game seriously (just imagine everybody playing this after Super Mario Bros is done).
