Right Hi!

Ive been keeping an eye on this page mainly due to a good friend running the board, and Ive seen loads of great things, people sharing strategies and coming up with tricks and routes for tracks in the Discord Server.

BUT Ive been seeing some Elitism, ignorant and quite frankly very silly conversations which throw all speedrunning etiquette out the window, and its upsetting to see, especially with how big this SRC Game is getting.

This has in turn pushed many people I know away, and including myself, Ive submitted my run and dont really wanna be involved at this point in time.

I will say this, Speedrunning is a community based and driven activity/career, wanna me selfish please go be selfish somewhere else, respectfully.

There is only one official Fortnite speedrunning server, and I can assume Ace is gonna keep it that way for the moment.

Sorry to be annoying, but I needed to say this, bearing in mind this is a small minority compared to the great runs Ive been watching!! You guys Rock!

I agree with the concern raised here. We should all strive to be excellent to one another both in and outside of the community.

I've been activity involved in this community, and I haven't seen any elitism or ignorant stuff that isn't a joke or anyone actually being serious. I also haven't seen any real issues you bring up about conversations being so bad they deter people.

Could you please provide specifics or specific messages? A problem like that won't stop from a generalized call out, the actions need to be called out when they happen. Could you show the messages that brought this thought?

That is for the moderators of the games boards to answer, I’ve got my answer, maybe look into speedrunning etiquette and you’ll see it kinda clearly, if it wasn’t a problem then the hidden posts on this games forums wouldn’t have been deleted or locked by “Staff” that run this site.

Oh I can clearly see it, probably your friend that’s liked the post, clear as day elitism, and terrible etiquette, leaving a community to find stuff out which has been found, then mildly taunting, asking for proof of a wr to be added to an exclusive group, and not allowing anyone else, trying to split a community that has already got a hub for communication.

If that whole thing was a joke, just wasn’t really funny and I mean the moderators of the game seem to agree by responding here.

Read up on it, brings a bad rep to a community.
