I would like to preface something before proceeding with my post, under normal circumstances I would have sent a direct message to the moderators of this forum before creating a post, regrettably I'm unable to do so as my account is less than 7 days old.
A good friend of mine records my ninja cinemas as I lack the ability to record in High Definition. The purpose of this post is not to offend anyone but to provide clarity and continuity for present/future speed runners as I feel the way things are at the present would discourage a lot of players.
Last week I submitted a run of Acolyte Chapter 15 as my first entry to demonstrate how to speed run this chapter in quick fashion which was verified by a moderator. I then decided to attempt another chapter given my recent success which is for Acolyte Chapter 16. After submitting my run it was rejected, reinstated, and then rejected again.
I'm new to speed running websites however I have previously gone through the team missions in a similar manner. I feel there's a lack of consistency/communication with regards to what constitutes a verified and rejected run.
One of the reasons why my Acolyte Chapter 16 run was rejected the second time was because the clear chapter screen showing the time was not present in the clip, which I'm unable to provide outside of a screenshot.
Would this be enough to reinstate my run or would I need to provide further evidence? I have played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for nearly a decade and I'm unsure as to why the Ninja Cinema which has a time associated with the replay would not be merited.
I have previously stated within the description of my submissions the replay timer can have a different time to my actual run which is on my ninja records which if necessary I can provide video evidence for or you can view my Ninja records on the global leaderboards within the game itself.
I apologise for the length of this post but I felt it was necessary going forward. Hopefully as a community we can resolve this issue as I have more submissions I would like to share.
See I thought you had the ability to do so which sorry you can't. Was not aware of that, but this new rule change is to have consistency. And to have proof of the time from the game itself showing at the end of the mission.
I know it was verified, but I figured it was a one time thing and hopefully you'd submit one from playing the game. However naturally you did still use it which has shown to not be reliable and we have to go off what you say. Understand that we should go with what the game says not what one says.
There's not a lack of consistency after your second run was the rule implemented. While the game doesn't have a cinema mode for Perfect Dark Zero we use the time shown at the end for ILs. A similar thing should be for Ninja Gaiden to show the mission time at the end.
Sorry but you need to show the final mission time for further runs from now on.
I have attached a new thumbnail to my submission which shows my chapter 16's clear bonuses including the time it took in-game which corresponds with my word, this screenshot was taken as soon as I saw my time, the quality isn't the best but you should be able to see it.
Is this enough proof or should I make a video of myself critiquing the run itself and upload that to YouTube or will this suffice?
As of now, PC runners can use the autosplitter which features an automatic start and splits per chapter. In livesplit " Right Click > Edit Splits " Type the name of the game then you will find option to activate.
Rules for the timing method have been updated to be more clear. The timer starts and
