I think that there should be different fonts for your username that you can choose from. But only fonts that are actually readable. It would bring more creativity to some profiles.

I'd say no, there's no reason for them to spend time on this, the site isn't supposed to be flashy, it's supposed to be for game boards which still need some work done. The only thing I could get would be changing your personal font used on-site as that's like a 5 second thing to add/change for most sites although you could just have a chrome extension yourself if that's a concern.

different fronts would also make it look super messy. if you dont like the default font use a custom css extension to change it for yourself

Not sure this is a good idea... I agree with @Sizzyl and @SioN. I think the free custom badge is already really cool, it offers infinite possibilities alone, and with the color scale we already have it's more than enough for username diverity imo. I think leaderboards look great as they are now with all these names and flags!

you also forget that we can customize the background of our profile page.. custom fonts + paywalls seem kinda unnecessary

I'm pretty sure 50% of the funny people would change their font to Wingdings.
