How would I set up a bounty for an unknown game?

So I made a terrible platformer when I was 12, and I recently dug up the executable. My friends and I have been enjoying running it against one another, so we thought it might be fun to put a bounty of 100 EUR or something on a sub-X minute run.

Obviously, the game is too insignificant to have its own leaderboard, but I still need a mod to act as middle man to give me some sort of legitimacy. How would I go about this? And is stuff like this appreciated within the community?

Hey, so there's a few things you can do to post this bounty:

To start will, you'll need an official post to announce your bounty. I suggest posting in the tournament and races thread for maximum exposure.

Next, you'll need to write up a document explaining all the specifics to the bounty. This includes (but not limited to): a link to the game, the bounty start and stop date, when time starts and stops, any game-specific rules (no pause buffering, no glitches, etc.), whether the game is times RTA, rta-loads, or any other form of timing, and anything else that you believe should be specified for the game bounty.

Since you do not have a board on the site, I suggest creating a spreadsheet to track submitted times, as well as creating a forum thread or Google form to submit the runs too, maybe even a discord server if you would like.

For advertising, I suggest posting the bounty in the official src discord (https://discord.gg/xBvVghQdMP) and the mobile speedrunning discord (https://discord.gg/Kh5PGd9hKT). I also suggest promoting in discords and game forums in games that are in the same genre, to attract the runners to your bounty (ask the mods if they are ok with promo before you post your bounty).

If you want a non-affiliated mod to filter runs, I suggest having a well-trusted user, who is familiar with the genre assist here (I can send you some names through dm).

I hope this helps!

I really hate to necro a 2 year old thread, but I am interested in offering a bounty for a game anonymously in the hopes to generate some activity (even if only short-term). I have never really participated in the forums nor discord, so I don't really know the who's who of being a "well-trusted" user. If it isn't too much trouble, could you DM me some names?
