Introduction

This is the guide for the Restricted subcategory. In the following you will find actions and tricks which you're not allowed to do.

At the bottom of this guide, you can also find actions and tricks that were previously discussed and allowed. This list purpose is purely informative.

If you try to take advantage of this list to submit a run that goes against the spirit of the category, your run may be rejected.
If you want anything added on this guide, go on Discord and ask in the relevant channel.

What to do if I perform a banned action by mistake?

If you didn’t gain an advantage, it’s fine to continue your run.
But if you gained an advantage, you can:

• Die and restart from the checkpoint you got (except if that banned action gave you a better checkpoint)
• Leave the current room from the entrance you used to get in this room.
• Reload the game to a previous save if the room’s state can’t be fixed.

List of banned tricks/actions:

• All forms of Zombie (video)
• Entering a room by hitting a trigger from outside of the current loaded room (video 1, video 2, video 3)
• Clipping through a door, floor or wall to gain an advantage while doing a yellow parry (video)
• Chakram super slide (video)
• Flight with any power or weapon (video), this includes pole launching (video)
• Rubber band with a big impact (video)
• Extended bow hover (video)
• Corner dash clip that results in clipping into a new zone (video 1) or in resetting your dash, for example, by using your shadow (video 2)
• Checkpoint manipulation by dying (video) => until consistency can be proven
• Jamming a button/lever/Chakram activator (video)
• Using Chakram teleport to go Out of Bounds or back In Bounds (video)
• Skipping a Medusa Mask enemy with an Athra Surge (video)
• Sandwich proxy that results in an advantage gained on purpose (video)
• Inverse vine (video)
