Yeah, Zen, I mean level design in general, not just differences in graphics/textures. I have a ton of knowledge of the PS1+PS2 versions of the game, but I have none of the N64 version, which confused me with its numerous changes.
Thanks Skilloz, looking forward to them.
The PS2 version of the game, besides the better graphics, has differences in the levels, some layouts are different (like the mad doctor's castle, which is completely different), and the "Inside Wall" level is completely absent as well. This applies to the PS1 version too; for example, Pinball's design is radically altered. Can separate categories be made for these versions?
Suggest anything that comes to your mind.
About the true ending, would it be alright for a mod to add a NG+ version of the category? I'd like to submit runs to that.
How long, exactly? I feel like NG+ would make it too short for what it's supposed to be... of course, starting the game on level 99 just makes everything super easy.
Fence Float Skip - found by Phatank:
Similar to house skip but more difficult to perform. Angle yourself as in the video and elevate CR using the ladder trick (making tiny left and right movements repeatedly) and when you get high enough, carefully hold right and walk on top of the fence. Move forward then make a right turn and move onto that fence, then go forward again. You're now in the path beyond the chapel that you run through to end the level. Instead of going through the path, go backwards towards the chapel and approach the door. This is IMPORTANT - getting near the door is the trigger for the level ending, so make sure you remember to do this. After getting near the door, you'll hear banging noises. When this happens, immediately turn around and finish the level as you normally would.
Deleted and replaced it with a BPS patch.
Please post any interesting findings here!
To start this off, yesterday Phatank and Kain found House Skip, which as the title implies, skips having to go into Kate's house and find the flashlight + key. Here is a demonstration video I made:
Not very hard to pull off. After performing the glitch just sprint outside the borders of the level to the little building with the collectable that ends the level, click on the brick wall until you get it.
Offline runs, runs that aren't streamed but still recorded, are a thing and I do those a lot.
There are no rules against it, so I don't know why anyone wouldn't skip it.
Gamerr, you can submit times for individual levels by using the level leaderboard. Click on it and a drop-down list of every level in the game will appear. You can submit your Prologue times to its leaderboard.
edit: Also, next time, please make your own thread instead of adding onto another one.
You can transfer any of the stats for NG+.
Hi, I'd like to be added as a mod for Slender: The Arrival (www.speedrun.com/slender_the_arrival/). One of the mods has been inactive for 3 months, and the supermod as well as another mod have been gone for over 2 weeks. I've tried reaching them through social media but to no avail.
That would be an insanely long category that nobody would be willing to do.
Title. Allowed or not? Would be great for a long game like this.
