New WR holder has some unbelievable reaction times.

I watched the WR run by slackerer for 100k and they were shooting ducks pretty fast, so I decided to frame count em and compare em to the other top runners. Here are my results.

I highlighted some of the super quick reaction times and one where you can't even see the duck before it is shot.

Anybody else got any thoughts on this?

Many of his shots definitely have unrealistic reaction times, especially in round 5 were the ducks are flying much faster. When watching the runs and attempt sessions I have also noticed that he never misses any shots at the ducks. The only shots that are misses are shots that were taken before the duck spawned. It seems that every time the trigger is pulled the duck is hit regardless of if there was enough time to properly aim. I’m interested to hear more thoughts

Was looking more into it. There are multiple ways to use lights to ensure a hit. Slackerer's Duck 3 on Round 1 is shot on the frame it appears. (Here is a video of someone using a strobe app to ensure a hit.) I would say this run is not legit. I'm not accusing anyone of cheating, maybe there is a faulty zapper or something causing it, but I feel slackerer's runs should be removed from the board. There are 10 reaction times below .1 which is inhuman.

I messaged Slackerer to ask if they found a manip or anything to help predict where the ducks spawn.

His reaction time is good but not inhuman especially if you are a gamer and good at the game

I was competing with, and running this game at the same time Slackerer was. I feel it must be said that after grinding this game for multiple hours at a time; it becomes much easier to predict where a duck will spawn, especially in the early rounds., and we have discussed using a bullet as a guess shot to improve time. I myself have gotten plenty of ducks before they’re on screen.

I can see where Oldschoolmcfly and Carter44 are coming from with reaction speeds and seems like almost impossible shots (ducks not appearing on screen). BigOtassss taking luck shots if you know the timing of duck spawns do make sense. Would like to hear more from Slackerer on this issue as we all may learn something. The big issue is I see is Slackerer out of no where got WR in all categories except 250,000 (B). It does raise some concerns of legitimacy. While it does happen on other leaderboard, it still raises some red flags and give a ton of uncertainty especially with no cam (not required).

We’re planning on adding a zapper cam requirement for runs going forward. It’s been brought up in the past and we think it is time to add it as it will add a layer of legitimacy to a leaderboard with some super close competitive times

I also agree a camera should be required on these games. Too easy to take a phenomenal run and call it it into question. Normally I would mind my business and keep scrolling, but I know Slackerer spent triple digit hours grinding this game in competition with me.

about 3-4 years ago I submitted runs, a low 2:5x I believe and even then I probably had over 100 hours of attempts and were rejected so I'm not exactly coming out of nowhere also a lot of my runs had to be deleted because of a leaderboard glitch where I was occupying multiple spots because I was submitting so many runs, I probably submitted over 40 with another 100+ gameplay hours, a good portion of that with 250k, 250k is by far the roughest rng I have ever experienced in any video game and more soul crushing than sub30 Z1 attempts and why I stopped pursuing it, and my times beyond 250k aren't that great by any means and can probably be beaten easily, I plan on setting up some cams and doing some wild gunman and duck hunt reaction% attempts soon, I'll even disassemble my zapper to show it's not modded with any special strobe lights

Just a thought, but mods can ask for a skill check usually, and if Slackerer is able to WR in every category, their skill level should be high enough to demonstrate the skills in question live with a cam.

A buddy of mine added some info to the spread sheet. Feel free to take a look and comment. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F0tc3JySx3JWecKIPW1H44te3CyDUqmmzDlH11-XsYM/edit?usp=sharing

Sounds good to me. I would love to see slackerer duplicate their reaction times without missing a single duck on cam. Watching slackerer's attempt videos he only resets when missing a duck because of firing all 3 shots too early.

Adding to this, I also couldn’t find an instance of a shot being missed in the attempt sessions. The only time shots were ever missed where when the trigger was pulled before the duck actually spawned. It seems that every time the trigger is pulled with the duck on screen it detects as a hit even if it only spawned a frame or two prior

Its hard to say since there are only two comparison runners and a relatively small sample, but the data given indicates a much higher variance in reaction times for Slackerer than for comparison runners. This is not what I would have expected to see from a shooter with a higher skill level. It just doesn't make sense. Is this a level of RNG predictability that has eluded all other runners? Is it just a new level of skill? I think, given the data, and the explanations given by Slackerer thus far, the mods have justification for believing this is an issue worth investigating.

I requested a skill check from the current WR holder. Carter grinded this game for YEARS to get the RNG he did and has proved live on many occasions that he is amazing at the game. So it is hard not to find these runs suspicious when they got a WR in almost every category out of nowhere.
