What if i used Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles, just to play Castlevania Rondo of Blood with the Bizhawk emulator. Would this be okay? And if yes, which category does it fall under? :)
I don’t think it’s not going work that way because the Dracula X chronicles is a PSP game and will not work on Bizhawk emulator. Rondo of blood can run on Bizhawk emulator cause it’s an PC engine cd rom which I try that for speed run years ago. If you want to run castlevania dracula x chronicles with rondo of blood then you should do it on PPSSPP emulator only.
Ppsspp is a great way to run many psp games and for speed run also ;)
Hmm, then where should i go to make this speedrun possible? Because i checked Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles on the speedrun website, but they don't have a category for the ported Castlevania Rondo of Blood that's included. O-O And on here, i don't see any category options for RetroArch/PPSSPP emulation. Unless i'm missing something. lol
The reason PSP Emulation isn't allowed is because the PSP version of rondo is already an emulator so effectively you'd be emulating an emulator. It was decided a while ago to be banned due to the inaccuracies that can cause, as well as PSP emulation in general having issues. Bizhawk for PCE however is accepted.
So what can i even do with Rondo of Blood, on Dracula X Chronicles? :( lol Because it's the only version i have... Can a category be made specifically for PSP emulation only? Like RetroArch/PPSSPP.
Good point. Like agent wywen saids rondo of blood might be better off running on Bizhawk.

theres also the issue that the build of rondo on drac X chronicles is an entirely different build than the pce-cd version. shaft takes less hits to kill on drac X chronicles rondo, for example. At any rate, running ppsspp or bizhawk to run the drac X chronicles version was banned a long time ago, because at that point, you are running an emulator inside of an emulator, lol. Dolphin was banned for the same reason.
As others have said, you can run the PCE-CD version of Rondo in bizhawk, and that is most likely your best bet if you are interested in running Rondo.
