My full inventory subbmission was declined due to this.

https://imgur.com/LZIj5Bk My full inventory subbmission was declined due to "double leather boots". In the rules it states that the items need to be unique. Considering how they were different colors and had vastly different NBT values i feel like it should qualify as unique.

Blue boots: squid boots, placing water in a 3 block radius Green boots: slime boots, negates fall damage and bounces you up

I think that enchanted items can count as unique items, according to the Minecraft wiki, "Enchanting is a mechanic that augments armor, tools, weapons, and books with one or more of a variety of "enchantments" that improve an item's existing abilities or imbue them with additional abilities and uses." Since the items have different functionalities, they are unique in nature. They also use a different model because they are dyed different colors, I don't think this submission should be invalidated but, if the mods could be more specific with what counts as unique then we could figure out if this run is valid or not..

The "unique items" comes from Java Category Extensions, they don't count enchanted items as "unique" so this doesn't. You could be on to something with the different NBT tags but I don't know enough about Minecraft to tell you that.

Yeah, I don't know nearly enough about how Minecraft is coded or coding in general for that matter, but it would make sense that enchanted/dyed items are labelled differently. Beds, carpet, wool and leather armor have different models and use different commands for each color to be spawned in. If the mods count differently colored wool as separate items, then they should consider armor in the same way. Differently colored items use separate coding (I believe) for interactions even if they have the same outcome, same thing except moreso for enchantments.

Like Ammel said we follow Java Edition's category extension rules. I can go more in depth on to try to clear it up. Following https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Player.dat_format#Item_structure items are defined with 4 tags: 1: count (number of items in the stack) 2: slot (what inventory slot the item is in) 3: id (the item/block id of the item, example minecraft:stone:3 is Diorite) 4: tag (Any defined tag not related to count, slot, or id)

We define unique items as any item with a different id. This means minecraft:sapling:0 (oak sapling) is different than minecraft:sapling:5 (dark oak sapling).

Anything in the tag slot is not counted as a difference. This includes tags used by the game (all tags from General Tags down to Bundle on https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Player.dat_format#Item_structure ) and user defined tags (ones not used in the game by standard).

If you go to https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Player.dat_format#Item_structure and scroll down to Display Properties you can find the tag for color. It is located in tag.display.color which makes it not applicable for a unique item in according to our criteria.

To sum it up: We consider a unique item to be any item with a unique id. NBT tags are not considered.

Hopefully this clears things up.

Ok cool, thanks. I feel like only going by id just isn't right for Hypixel (specifically the lucky block modes). Taking into account the difference in functionality and name to judge if an item is different could be more fitting for this kind of non-vanilla category.

Thanks for clearing it up so we know what's valid or not @Penguin Hypixel doesn't have the same mechanics of Minecraft in many games (by a long shot) but it would make sense to get the rules from Category extensions because that's the closest thing you guys have to a reference point.
