Simply titled "Baseball", this game was one of the few launch titles for the original Nintendo Gameboy from 1989.

For me personally, this was my third game for the platform (after the pack-in title "Tetris" and "Super Mario World"), and I've been playing this game on-and-off for the past three decades.

While the game does have name-only cameos for Mario and Luigi, this title wasn't developed in-house by Nintendo, but rather coded by Intelligent Systems. The title was an early showcase for the "Game Link" cable, allowing for two players, however, the game does have a single player mode.

As far as sports-ball games, this one is incredibly simplistic, and very random event driven, which can be frustrating for speed running. However, the choices of batting first or last in an inning, and the use of the 10 run "Mercy Rule" mechanic does give for some strategy options.

I feel there is a lot of room for improvement on this game, and we could see speed runs down in the sub 6 minute mark with a little skill and a lot of luck.

Go for it! I think there is a lot room to get the time down below the 7:16 mark. I've done some TASR work and I think that sub 6, maybe sub 5:30 is possible.

Are you still here? I submitted a run over a year ago and nothing has been done. If you no longer wish to run this game I would like to take over for you. Thanks
