Just Buy Minecraft and If you are a kid and your parents don't want you to buy minecraft just win a competition irl and ask minecraft as a gift If they say no then insist(Not too much) If they say no then never play minecraft(I can't do anything about it BTW I got minecraft through this way only)

TLauncher probably counts as modifying the game, and plus, just buy the game. it's at most 30 bucks depending on region and there's no reason you cant buy it. it's most likely kids who dont have any money. also @AHG minecraft java is available in pakistan, i checked.

Tbh, no reason why kids shouldn’t be allowed to submit their runs. Just let them have fun. My stand on pirating games is that as long as you intend on buying it at some point in the future, it’s all good. And this doesn’t give them an advantage - instead it probably gives them a disadvantage if anything.

I mean, for recommendation, just buy Minecraft. Though unrelated reply, for my Philippines, I've found some Minecraft game with "full-access" via Lazada and sometimes they went out of stock. Not sure if these products seems sketchy.
