A few months ago, I got the Coinless World Record using multiplayer to spawn a toad house to get a mini mushroom for 5-GH, another mushroom house to get a propellor for 1-3 in world 1 and a third toad house in world 5 to get a mini for 8-C. That run was recently decided to be illegitimate due to using multiplayer. Here is the run:

When I returned to get my record back I realized a couple of things. Firstly, I could go for an insanely precise spin in 5-GH in order to skip the multiplayer spawned mushroom house to save a lot of time. Also, I could skip the World 1 mushroom house using an ice flower and yoshi in 1-3 to spawn a propellor. This, along with other optimizations gave me the timesave I needed. I choked a tragic 27:38 to grabbing the final coin in escape next to the propellor, but I kept pushing and got the WR :)

The run itself had a pretty major mistake in 8-7 due to forgetting to equip a mushroom and having to take a death, as well as some slow mushroom house movement and some safe movement in 8-A. Finally, it lost a lot of time in 8-C as well. Happy to have finally gotten a fairly solid World Record, however.
