This chapter is still coming from a normal run, so with the correct set-up beforehand, this can still come down. But with this new route, as long as you enter with 1 rocket (which should easily be achievable from Splash Mike), you go into Nuke Sub with full rocket and grenade ammo. The extra items in the secret area are helpful, especially another Stamina.
With full ammo, you can make Nuke Sub pretty consistent and variances come down to using rockets or grenades at any given time, based on where Nuke Sub has risen.
