Agreed. Hey GameGlitchGuy, would you be interested in helping me mod this game?
Hey guys,
I demodded myself from the Street Fighter series, so I'll have more time for this and the MK series (stuff I actually play). There were a lot of story mode runs in the queue, and they take a while to watch. Sorry. Everything is verified now.
I also started following this game, since I wasn't already, so I'll see your posts much sooner.
What brings this up? Did a run with cheat menus recently get accepted?
The cheat menus are banned. Usually this is explicitly stated this in the rules for MK titles, but I guess we forgot to add that addendum to the Trilogy rules. I'll add it.
Not much activity?
I think this leaderboard is decently populated for a fighting game.
I agree to disallow this based solely on the pay to win argument.
Hey Shade,
We run the hardest categories for most of the other MKs, including MK9. In the classic MK games, there's barely any difference between Very Easy and Very Hard, as it all evens out when you reach the top of the tower.
But I'll be the first to admit that the Hardest difficulty in MKX is unreal. It's not like the other games. Still, I support adding it as a category. I think it would be interesting to see what people can do on that level of difficulty.
@JessicaSix I thought you were done when you deleted your runs. What exactly are you trying to achieve by coming over here and crapping on the leaderboards? The original topic here doesn't even concern you.
Just go away.
Trilogy does crash at the end on the PS2 and PS3, but that doesn't affect speedrunning.
@JessicaSix Are you accusing GameGlitchGuy of cheating? Because his loading times are not 200% faster. The major reason why he crushed my record is because of that nifty Goro pattern. Fast disc speed was only part of it.
I also lost a few rounds in my run... It's a pretty mediocre run, I'll admit.
@GameGlitchGuy, you undercut my Trilogy record by half by enabling fast disc speed.
It's all good there. I don't see the problem here.
I think what we're going to have to specify which Romsets and allowed and which are disallowed, like we do over at the Mortal Kombat boards.
Does anyone have any input on which romsets should be allowed/disallowed?
Right now, I'm looking at the controversy with Street Fighter CE in particular.
Seems like each game has it's own unique controversial claim right now...
There were accusations of in both directions. Both hocinehocine and Panicorept submited a LOT of runs. I'm still going through and watching them all.
So far, no one seems to be purposefully cheating. The issues in the past few weeks have ranged from misinterpretation of the rules and wrong roms used to accusations of stolen runs. Needless to say, this stuff has kept me quite busy.
I'll keep an open line of communication here.
Alright. I'm pulling the record from the leaderboard.
Good luck on your next submission PANICOREPT. Hopefully there won't be a controversy next time.
El_Nombre, what edit are you talking about? I've rewatched the video. When the game boots up, it shows that he is playing on the official romset, with serial number 920313.
What gives this away as not being CE? What are some key differences in this video? I actually own a PCB of Street Fighter CE. I'll pop it in a machine later tonight and give it a playthrough to help me understand what you're talking about.
Good catch.
Time amended.
Hey guys,
I need to be bumped up to Super Mod status on the Street Fighter series, so I can bring on a bigger crew. I've been verifying new Street Fighter runs nearly every day for the last couple weeks without any help. The lone Super Mod for the series has apparently dropped off the map. Some Street Fighter speedrunners and I have been trying to contact him for the last month and we can't get a hold of him.
Thanks.
I actually have a ladder run on the hardest difficulty ready to go. I've just had some technical difficulties in uploading it.
My plan here is to just showcase the hardest runs like we do with the Mortal Kombat series, but if the interest picks up, I'll consider adding more difficulties to the leaderboard.
