No idea, a couple days ago I've modified the variables in a couple categories, and then edited a couple runs for that back then (everything was filled just fine). Everything seems to have disappeared today. There's also been a run submission not submitted by the runner landing in the verification queue (submitter unknown).
Is someone using some kind of exploit?
Variables have disappeared from all runs on http://www.speedrun.com/ctr . Is this even fixable on the admin end?
All cups is a category where both character switching and routing is viable and used. Allowing all characters shows off more than Any% and 101% can. As for "it's cheats", the category is already arbitrary as-is, it's also not a commonly run category (at this point).
As for Max%, others will have to answer, I'm pretty sure Penta was never allowed there specifically, maybe you got confused by the character values, those were added when you couldn't seperate them by category, which is possible now and actually on my to-do list since it got added, but it got delayed because of ESA.
Just gonna repost this from another thread regarding the run management & schedule:
"we will be directing you around with goal of keeping on schedule, so don't expect to show the credits. Once your run is done, you will have a very small window to wrap up"
This decision broke the schedule imo. People have been very strict and aggressive to enforce this from my experience, it should really be taken into account how far ahead of the estimate the run was before cutting it short. And, more importantly, the runner should be asked whether they're done with whatever yet, not the other way around considering how eager the tech team seems to be to pull the plug. Being far ahead of the schedule was a huge issue that could've been fixed with a couple more endings/credits/non-incentive showoffs.

Apparently credits skip is a thing now: http://www.twitch.tv/martinforslund/c/6862311
We're still on the fence about how to handle it in Any%, but it looks like a clear cut timesave in 105%.
Crash: Mind Over Mutant - filename (9 characters max)
Crash Nitro Kart - Upgrade to Ultimate Shadow Race. (make it reallly low) Instead of a one-by-one attempt, the challenge gets upgraded to a 4 player race (race until someone finishes), with the same insane challenge.
Huge bug on http://www.speedrun.com/crashmom and http://www.speedrun.com/crashoot Runs are not obsoleting each other for some reason. Also causing amazing profile logic:
The MoM run will likely not use the same route as the WR, which adds 9 minutes to the time at best, hence the sub 1 ceiling. Times in practice varied between 51-57.
Sometimes when you die and store a mutant at the same time, the game will let you move during cutscenes until you reset the console. Other side effects include pausing during loading screens, moving during loading screens, late cutscenes, out of place cameras (to fix the camera just falloff with a mutant, you will keep the main bug).
Carrying the glitch over to a new game is not going to be allowed, but the glitch in general will be. The loadless timing will have to be adjusted for this glitch in particular, but only once a run with this tech in use will be submitted.
Runs, guides, games - who added, edited, removed. Links to removed content only for mods. Forum posts - Seeing 'post by X deleted by Y' instead of nothing.
A rouge mod removed them. Removing established world records without communicating is serious and will not be permitted. I've demodded 2 of 3 people who did not communicate on this issue - Jack and Inferno. If the times get deleted again, the last person who didn't communicate will also be demodded.
The PSN version? Yes. There's input lag and the loads are slow.
Bug: Adding a theme resulting in a wrong file extension error creates a theme with all colors set to FFFFFF.
