Hey there! I just picked up the Switch version of this game, and I would like to do a few runs of it sometime in the future. Would it be okay to submit runs from the Switch version? Or would I need to specify which console/platform I'm running it on during submission?
That would be a seperate game. So a new game request must be made.
I had not seen the differences in the title when buying the game, so I'll make sure to make a game request at some point. Thanks again, and I'll make sure to do more research before making the game request.
if you could take videos and whatnot of the switch version of the game, it could be seen if it's the same version as the PC version. in that case, it would be added to the WT2:D+ boards as a console and you would be able to submit there
I think making a draft any% should give enough information for which version the Switch game is a part of, but it will take me a while to make it. While reviewing speedrun categories, I misread "All Sacred Tears" as "All Sacred Tears + Blueberries" and my brain is overloaded at the thought of what a 100% category would require.
Meanwhile, here's a quick 20 seconds of gameplay pointing out two locations I thought would be marginally different between the two versions:

if you can attempt to follow the route done in the current runs of the game and it works with the different tricks and walljumping, then that will help us conclude if this is a unique version
Contacting the developer was really smart! Maybe I should do that soon. ^^;
For now, I need to try and do a verifiable run. I'm trying to learn how to infinite walljump on the switch, and I still need to practice setting my splits properly, but for now, here's 51 minutes of footage if you need it. ^^; Feel free to watch with the sound off. :x I was swearing a lot of the time, and that doesn't make for a fun watch.
(EDIT: Wait, why does it embed the video? Can I disable that?)
no issue with the embed. I will add the switch version to the boards as the dev says it's identical. you should be good to submit your runs there
Ah, glad to hear! That, and you added both the XboxOne and PS4 versions of the game; thanks much for that. I'll be submitting an any% run soon so I can focus on cataloguing the entire game, so hopefully that'll take a while. ^^;
So, from 9 months ago, I'd like to admit: routing 100% categories is hard. :x I never got past world 1's blue berries.
On the other hand, I got the game for PS4. Should we add a category for that, or should I submit it to the Switch leaderboard? Honestly, I'm still new at this "categorizing speedruns" thing. ^^;
