I read the rules and it states that the player mustn't go over 38x at the start of the run. But my default multiplier currently is 42x with the crew bonus and 1 in-app purchase which gives +5x, I can't bring it any lower. I don't think it's fair for players who have more than 38x multiplier.

this only applies to the "scores" category if you made any in-game purchases to increase your multiplier, you must send your race to the "P2W" category if your run is "no coins" for example, it makes no difference then it would be accepted usually.
