All Queens & Kings Category

Hello there!

I came here with a proposition for a new category :

•Defeat all NPC known as Queen or King via death or imprisonment in an enemy's base or by obliterating them from the game.

There's the proof of concept run :

I work on a cleaner version of it that I hopfully manage to finish soon.

I used a glitch accidentally found while practicing the million cats run that seems to delete (I'm not sure about this) npcs using a guild plastic surgeon :

The Limited rules should, in my opinion, allow the use of the plastic surgeon's glitch, but let me know what you think about that

During the run I left a few targets "alive", assuming they were unreachable by anything and were in "Dying" state.

My list of queens and kings may not be exhaustive, so let me know if I've missed any.

A Harcore run is doable but much harder and longer

Maybe one day..

If you want to list all of the kings and queens for me then I'll add it.

About the plastic surgeon glitch, I would not consider them killed. They were never killed nor imprisoned by an enemy faction, they were deleted (haven't actually seen that till now and it's kind of interesting). I considered using the in-game modding tools to delete people (as well as using reload exploits to delete people) as a way of killing them and decided it was probably a bad idea, and I think this is very similar.

I don't want this to sound like a gotcha, but I also don't necessarily know if leaving them in a dying state should be considered dead, although I don't think that's something I've thought about enough (or others have) in order to say that it's not fair to do that. If it were a run of killing a singular person (or last person you're killing) I'd probably call this bad as they aren't dead yet. If you're hunting down 15 people I can't necessarily say they wouldn't have died if you left them in an area that they have no chance of being recovered either as a slave or by their own people.

These are the 8 I found :

Armour King

Dust King

Crabe Queen

King

King Gorillo

King Gurgler

Queen of the South

Queen of the West

You're probably right about the deleting glitches that can arise so I'm okay to not allow any of them in Limited category.

I also think we should use in game time for this category, as there are a lot of zone loadings.

I'll add it.

I also am trying to just push for people to use the hardcore gamemode I added in Defeat because it's the exact same as Limited besides no reloading, stop action, and in-game timer. I think I'll remove no reloading from Hardcore because it would make this near impossible (I'll add a note that using it to exploit, intended or not, isn't allowed).

Thanks Gulch!

Regarding the Hardcore game mode, maybe we should define more precisely when we are allowed to reload.

For example, if I fail an 60% assassination attempt, am I allowed to reload to try again?

Perhaps we should restrict it to a few specific situations, such as when your character is in a "Critical" or "Dying" state.
