So there is a "emscripten" port of FCEUX (https://tsone.kapsi.fi/em-fceux/) except it doesnt include some features, the only 2 that matter, however are: -Tas Feature Support
- Cheat Code/Game Genie Code Support So I think that this should be allowed in the rules, I was going to start running with this, but I just wanted to make sure.
Dang :( What do you mean accurate documentation, like the framerate and stuff matches? Because I know it runs at 60 fps, I already counted, but if you need proof then I can't really show you because I dont have a recording software currently that is 60 fps. I think I get what you mean, but I just want to be sure.
This game operates on a pretty specific whitelist of approved methods of playing -
Approved hardware/software (please specify in the run comment):
- Original NES, Famicom or FDS
- Original NES or Famicom with Everdrive or Powerpak
- Wii, Wii U, Switch and 3DS Virtual Console
- FCEUX, Nestopia, Bizhawk, OpenEMU
- NES Classic Edition
- Analogue NT Mini
I'm fairly sure any deviation from those specific instances would be disallowed, which would include a browser port of any of those.
It does beg the question, why would you want to play in a browser? I don't mean that to be snarky, I just can't imagine a situation where you'd be better off in a browser instead of using the actual allowed emu
