Yep, I was just looking around on YouTube enjoying myself until I saw this video on GameXplain:

I figured I might as well let you guys know since I literally found this out like a minute ago.

Depends if the engine's been changed or not.

Well, I wasn't trying to discourage anyone into running the original game. I was trying to figure out what we should do about the leaderboards since there will likely be differences like some stuff will be cut out or be added to the game (i.e. Nintendo references). Several people are saying that, like Blitzwinger:

I feel like we should either make a new category for the Remastered version, or submit a new game for it. I'm recommending it, so that it doesn't completely make speedrunning the Original the worst version of the game, it can be like they did with the Wind Waker when Nintendo remastered the game from GameCube to WiiU.

TFW the game's also coming to PC/Steam but they don't even mention it in the title.

Well, GameXplain mainly focuses on console and handheld gaming (Nintendo and Sony for the most part). Still odd that they don't say LCU is coming to PC as well, but that's what they tend to focus on.

Even if they mainly cover consoles, you'd expect them to at least list all the platform's it's on.

I have been watching Blitzwinger's PS4 let's play and the game seems to be somewhat different from the WiiU. One noticeable difference is that the disguise booths are unlocked from the beginning, and you can buy vehicles from call-in points. Of course how you answer calls, set way-points and scanning is different since the game-pad is not used, and there is local co-op.

The PC port is broken. I've seen flying cars and NPCs in buildings. I have had an overworld crash and I crash everytime I go into the home police station. The video settings menu was broken for me as, although I could change the options, I couldn't press the accept button to enable the changes. I managed to get around that via the config file, but that should not be the way to do things.

It also seems that there's no way to force full-screen for lower resolutions, or windowed mode for high resolutions. My game started in windowed mode at 1280x720, but automatically full-screened at my monitor's native resolution.

On the plus side, I have found a couple of skips, but only in the overworld sections so far.

Here's some info on load times, from what I've read online PS4 pro has much better load times than the Switch.

Switch is likely going to suffer from loading time issues for any large game, especially ones with open worlds, because they've tried to fit as much power into the console as possible, that they've probably used older and smaller loading tech.

Can't speak for the other consoles, Xbox and PS4 are likely the best options for now, until PC gets an update.

The problem with PCs though is you can't test every combination of hardware that will be used, so it ends up being a pray and hope for the most part.

Can you skip cutscenes on the newer consoles though, cause on PC, whenever I start a new game (even having fully completed savefiles on them) I'm unable to skip any of the cutscenes

Wait really? I have the game on PC and expected it to work just as before but that would really suck. Perhaps they can patch it in that case >_>

I dunno, I've heard nobody complain about it yet, nor have I seen runs on the remastered version yet. I just presumed that I was doing something wrong

It's almost as if the PC version doesn't exist to them.
